Professor Peter Smith

Professor Peter Smith began his career as a Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children before being appointed Senior Lecturer at University College London's Institute of Child Health, where he contributed to its Master Research Program. In Australia, he established Queensland Allergy Services and served as clinical lead in the Neuroimmunology and Mucosal Immunology research streams at Griffith and Bond Universities, while also holding a professorship at the Observational & Pragmatic Research Institute in Singapore.

Over 23 years, Professor Smith has supervised more than 50 Master's and PhD candidates, amassing 118 publications, 2,189 citations, an H-index of 23, and an RG index placing him in the top 5% of ResearchGate members. He is a member of the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, and the World Allergy Organization.

His decades of high-impact research span The Window of Tolerance, the National Centre of Neuroimmunology and Emerging Diseases, Molecular Immunology, and Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis.
